I just happened to be in Colorado last week and so did Jacee and Jase. So we diecided to make an engagement session happen in downtown Denver at Union Station.It was pretty much awesome. And doesn't Jacee have the most beautiful smile? I am excited to be shooting their wedding in 2017. Yay!!
I love when people come to me for a couples session, even though they've been married for less than 5 years. This sweet couple never did engagement pictures, so this was more like a post-engagement session. And I mean look at this fun, cute couple!You just want to be friends with them. 
Rachel and Brett are getting married this weekend and I can't wait to shoot their wedding. Here are my favorites from their engagement shoot at the Texas Tech baseball stadium, Rip Griffin Park. 
Annie and Eric came into town for a sweet engagement session. The flowers were finaly blooming this weekend, and they were a super cute couple.Here is a peek of my favorites. Annie, you are a radiant girl, and you will make a gorgeous bride.

These two are just adorable together. You know what makes an engagement session successful? When you, as the soon-to-be bride and groom focus on each other and show affection for one another. Keep your mind on your beautiful/handsome fiance and love on each other. It really is simple. Just focus on one another, and you will get reactions like this from Sara and Tobi. Oasis Park was the perfect place for these two, because they love outdoors and they were in there elelment.

Emily and Dustin drove from Midland, Texas to Clovis, New Mexico for their engagement shoot. I had a ball with them. They laugh, they love, they hug, they kiss, and they are just goo-goo for each other.They were like that during the engagement shoot and they were like that at their wedding this past weekend.
Congratulations to Emily and Dustin becoming one. I can't express enough what a blessing this couple is to me. Working with them has been beyond wonderful, and I think anyone who knows them would agree when I say, they are the coolest couple. They are complete servants with a compassionate heart and a smile on their faces. I feel all teary eyed just thinking of what a sweet time I had with them and their family from this weekend.

Carrie and Barrett invited me to make a journey to Odessa, Texas for their Couples Session. On my way, I passed down memory lane as I drove through Tahoka, Texas where I grew up from a baby to 8 years old, and then made frequent visits to see my grandparents. Then I passed by this super awesome sunflower field that was a sea of yellow. So gorgeous! And when I arrived to Carrie and Barrett's they were getting all of their belongings and props ready to go for our sand dune photo shoot. And then after the shoot (I have to brag a little) they bought us dinner from Texas Roadhouse where Carrie use to work. So when I asked her what to get she quoted almost the entire menu. I chose the ribs, with green beans, and sauteed mushrooms. Is your mouth watering yet? Mine is. I also slept in the most comfortable bed, and woke up to yummy cinnamon rolls and fruit. I felt so welcomed :) Thanks Carrie and Barrett!! I just have a few for now that I want to share, but believe me, you will want to come back and see the rest. This couple doesn't take a bad picture, and we have LOTS of awesome shots of these two.
Last week Amber graduated from nursing school, and family and friends came in from all over to celebrate. Not only did they celebrate her graduating, but towards the end of the night, her now fiance, Clay proposed and they had much more to celebrate. Congratulations Amber and Clay, and all of your family on your engagement.And look at that ring!!
Last Saturday I gave a one-on-one workshop with Leah Burgett. We talked about specific questions she had with posing, lighting, and composition and then we got to photograph this cute couple, Dusty and Jay. The one thing I didn't do and wish I would have was to take a picture of Leah. She looked beautiful that day!

This was my first time doing a workshop and I really enjoyed it. I was so humbled when Leah asked if I would do one. I enjoyed sharing my knowledge I've learned over the past 12 years I've been doing photography since attending and graduating from Texas Tech with my photography degree, and then the knowledge I've learned from having my own business the last 5 1/2 years. Not only do I want to teach others, but while I did this with Leah I also learned some great information myself.
Thanks Leah for contacting me and wanting to do this. It was so much fun. And thanks Dusty and Jay for being available to be models. You did perfect! I love how much you laughed, and smiled. It makes me smile when I look through your pictures :)
Today was a humbling day. I had my first one-on-one session where I taught someone about the way I do photography. How I pose, use my light, and compose my subjects. It was a blast, and I want to do it again! Thanks Leah Burgett for a wonderful time. You are an awesome photographer, and a beautiful woman.

Lindsey and Kelby ordered a guest sign-in book for their wedding day. I can't wait for their guests to sign the book and see the engagement shots we took back in the summer.They are getting married June 2nd and it will be here before we know it!
Lindsey and Kelby were so awesome at their engagement photo shoot in Lubbock. We did their session at a friends house as well as the Tech Terrace area by Texas Tech University. Their wedding is in San Angelo June 2012 and I can't wait to photograph it!
I had a challenge during their shoot, and I welcomed it with open arms. The clouds were rolling in the sun was disappearing so I had to bring out my lights and pocket wizards. Bring on the challenge I say, bring it!
