Clovis NM Portrait Photographer. Baby Jack

We have all been waiting patiently for baby Jack to arrive. His mom, Logan a past bride, called MONTHS in advance to schedule his newborn session. She is a planner. I like that. Alot. I photographed Jeff and Logan's wedding two years ago and I told them how I love being apart of peoples lives as a photographer, because you get to see them live life. Now after two years of marriage, they have a baby. These are sweet, precious moments I am SO happy my camera was able to collect for them. Baby Jack was just a sweetheart and I LOVED holding him.  He made me realize my baby (2 yrs old) is not really a baby anymore.  When I came home after their session and looked at Benson, I was kind of taken back at how BIG he is, but he will always be MY baby :)

Oh, funny story too.  You know you are a real awesome mom when you catch your babies poop as he is hanging in a knitted basket.  Yup, thats what Logan did.  And Jeff was a little grossed out.  And I was laughing :)

And, Logan and Jeff made me feel so welcomed and loved when I came into their house to find lots and lots of wedding photos I did for them. I never get to see the photographs displayed in my clients homes and that was very special to me. Thanks for a very lovely evening Scarbrough family.

Clovis NM Portrait Photographer.Boys will Be Boys

Tuesday I had a session with a sweet 3 yr old boy. He was full of energy, had the cutest smile, and gave me hugs. I instantly fell in love with him, because he reminded me so much of my little Benson.I got three HUGE mosquito bites during this session too. If you live in this area, I am warning you the mosquitoes want to eat you alive so spray yourself with OFF. And I mean spray your entire body, because those little dudes got me in places I never thought they would :)

Here are my some favorites...

Clovis NM Portrait Photographer.Sweet Caroline

Shannon and Ronnie have been blessed with a sweet baby girl named Caroline, and I think their hearts are about to explode with love for her.

Clovis NM Portrait Photographer. The Burgin Family

We were trying to decide where to go for there session, and Holly mentioned her parents house out in the country. As she described the surroundings where they lived I thought it was the perfect place. I knew we were going to the country, but not sure how far so I didn't bother to fill up my car with gas even when the low-light came on. Well, we drove about 25 miles or so (might be wrong on that) to her parents house and I was getting very nervous. I didn't think I would make it back and thanks to her sweet dad, he filled my car up with gas he had for his farm equipment. Thank you thank you thank you!! Maybe I should carry a gallon of gas around with me just in case. Or I could fill my car up next time I take an adventure out in the country :)On to the session... Holly and Jeremy scheduled there session with me months ago, so this session has been something I've looked forward to for a while. They are expecting child number 2 in August also so we did maternity shots as well as family.  The first image was a favorite, because they all have great smiles.  Real smiles. And  Holly has a gorgeous smile that I think she should be famous for.  I LOVE the last one of Jeremy playing with their little girl, and Holly looking on, again with that smile.   It was a total accident that he was in focus, too. I'm not gonna lie. Thankfully I just panned with his movement and got a great shot of the action filled evening with their 2 1/2 year old daughter. I think she and Benson would have lots of fun. Thanks Burgin family for a lovely evening.

Charlotte and her boys.Clovis, New Mexico Portrait Photographer

We almost didn't get to do pictures for the Laughery family. Michael (dad) is in the Air Force and he and his family are based here in Clovis. He got orders that he was shipping out sooner than later and we canceled the session. Well, then they told him he wasn't going until later. So, lets just say Charlotte and her family have some sweet poeple looking after them, because the next day their session was paid for by random friends and I ended up doing their session for them like we had originally planned.Michael is now in Afghanistan and his family is in Clovis. Please pray for their family as they are apart for these 6 months. The thing I love about the internet is Michael can still see the pictures from their session and so can Charlotte. So they will in some way, still be connected even though they are apart. Hugs to the Laughery family.

Beautiful Kresta was a good sport on the windy, and cold day we did her session. She didn't let it bother her though as you can tell. She is a gorgeous girl and I'm so pleased with her session. Especially the ones with her hair up at the car wash :)

Blumer Family. New Mexico Portrait Photographer

As I promised Stephanie...Tonight I saw Stephanie at Zumba and we most definitely worked it, even though I messed up a bunch on my steps. It was still lots of fun having her dance along beside me. The Clovis News Journal was even there...taking pictures. Seriously! The photographer like snuck into the room and started snapping away. I just want to say, that if you are taking pictures of a bunch of ladies all in athletic clothing doing Zumba moves, please don't take it from below. We don't want to see that of ourselves in the morning paper. My tip: take the images from above of dancing ladies. I'm curious to see who the photog will put in the paper. I was wearing my Cristy Cross Photography shirt (I was my own walking advertisement), but I don't think the camera was aimed at me. Thank goodness :) Any are the favorites from Stephanie and her families session. By the way, they have such a neat relationship between the three of them. I loved watching them as a family.

Good nite and sleep tight.

Jared.High School Senior 2010 Portrait New Mexico Photographer

Jared is one of the two guys I've had all year for high school senior sessions. It was a nice change to be photographing a guy and rework my poses to not look feminine. hahaha :) Here are the favorites from Jared's session.

Saturday I hung out with the McWilliams family. This is a super sweet family I met at Byron and Lindsay's wedding back in August.  Lauren (below) is Byron's sister.  It was nice seeing Lindsay and Sassy too!McWilliams family Lubbock Texas, portrait session

Let me just say if I looked like this when I was a senior, or even now, then I would be living on cloud 9.  I would first have to get a tan though :)  This beautiful girl is drop dead gorgeous.  And ya know what she told me?  She said she wasn't very photogenic!  Say what!!  I am gonna strongly disagree with that one.Clovis NM 2010 senior

Albuquerque, New Mexico family

I love visiting Albuquerque. We used to call it "home". We lived there for three years while Ben went to the University of New Mexico Law School. It is a beautiful city and I miss the scenery, but not so much the traffic. I sometimes crave bagels from Einstein's. And the thing I miss the most is the 5k trail around the Academy School. It brings back great memories of my quiet times with God as I pushed myself to run the entire 3.3 miles. I'll be honest though, I haven't done that in a very LONG LONG time. So, while we were in Albuquerque back in February I had a session with the Boyd family. They have a precious little girl who gets lots of love from her parents AND grandparents. Thats a baby who is loved :)

Morrow Family. Clovis, NM Family Photographer

The Morrow family, oh how we love the Morrow family. Katy is so creative. Take a look at these pictures and you'll see what I'm talking about.

New Mexico Photographer.Baby Megyn

I couldn't stop saying "she is such a cute baby" at baby Megyn's session today. Her mom dressed her in the cutest outfits with leggings. I want a baby girl JUST so I can put leggings on her! Here is a little teaser... sixth month old baby. Clovis, NM
